Over 80,000 people in London and the Thames Valley District suffer from arthritis, a debilitating, chronic disease causing the loss of bone and cartilage. Over 4 million Canadians have arthritis. Arthritis can strike at any age - It is not widely known that over 6,300 children in Canada under the age of sixteen suffer from juvenile arthritis (JA), making JA more common than most chronic childhood disorders, including cystic fibrosis and diabetes.

The Arthritis Society is Canada’s only not-for-profit agency dedicated solely to funding and promoting arthritis research, public education and care. Thanks to your generous donations, Canada’s top researchers and scientists are able to continue the search into the causes of arthritis and improved treatments, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.

Course: Out and back course along the bike path network at the Fork of the Thames.
Entries: FREE to anyone handing in $100 in Pledges by race morning. Family Rates (Registration forms must be received together)

Late Registration And Race Kit Pick-Up:
Saturday, June 27th - Late registration and race kit pick-up noon to 5:00 pm at RUNNERS’ CHOICE.
Sunday, June 28th (race day) - 7:00 am to race start at Covent Garden Market.
 
Shirts: The first 200 registered 8K runners will receive a technical unisex event shirt. The first 50 registered 3K runners will receive a cotton event shirt.

Awards will be available at RUNNERS’ CHOICE until July 12th, after which, all unclaimed prizes will be recycled. Ribbons for 3K Fun Run/Walk age categories.

Facilities: Washrooms available at the Market. No showers available.
Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided after the race.
Directions: From the 401 take Wellington St. north, approx. 10km. Turn left onto York St., 3 blocks west to Talbot and turn right. (One Way St.) Parking is available in Covent Market building. More parking is available in several pay lots in Downtown area..
Pledge Incentives: Please help The Arthritis Society do more by collecting pledges and handing them in on race day. The top 3 pledge collectors will be given prizes donated by our generous sponsors.
